Avery Knifeworks Lifetime Guarantee & Free Sharpening

At Avery Knifeworks, your knife is guaranteed for life. Every blade we make is backed by our craftsman’s commitment to performance, longevity, and service.

FREE SHARPENING & MAINTENANCE — FOR LIFE (No fine print)

Any Avery Knifeworks knife can be sharpened, tuned, cleaned, and refreshed for free, for as long as you own it. If it dulls, gets scratched, or needs attention—just get it to us. We’ll take care of the rest.

What Our Lifetime Guarantee Covers

All Avery Knifeworks knives include full coverage for normal wear and tear, including:

• Light surface rust or oxidation
• Minor scratches to the blade or handle
• Edge dulling or small edge/tip micro-chips

These issues are always repaired free of charge under our Free Sharpening & Maintenance Policy.

If you’re unsure whether something is covered, simply reach out. We’ll evaluate your knife and help you understand what we can do—no surprises.

When Repairs May Carry a Cost

Damage that falls outside normal wear and tear—such as breakage from misuse or abuse—may require a paid repair.
“Misuse and abuse” can be subjective, so our craftsman will always review your knife personally and explain what happened and how it can be prevented in the future.

We always strive to be fair, transparent, and generous.

Handle Replacement Policy

Every knife qualifies for one free handle replacement if the handle becomes non-functional due to normal use, and not misuse or abuse.

Important note on pinecone handles:
Because pinecone-in-resin is an unpredictable organic material:
• Pre-orders with pinecone handles on models we do not recommend for pinecones are not eligible for a free handle replacement.
• Pinecone handles purchased on in-stock knives are eligible for a free handle replacement if damaged through normal use.

Due to the nature of wood, burl, resin hybrids, and organic materials, an exact match is almost always impossible, but we’ll work with you to select a new handle you love before any work begins.

Tips to Keep Your Knife Looking New

• Use wooden cutting boards only
• Do not cut frozen foods or bone
• Never put your knife in the dishwasher
• Make sure the knife and the inside of its sheath are dry before sheathing
• Periodically remove your knife from its sheath to check for moisture or rust
• Apply a thin coat of odorless, colorless oil occasionally—especially on carbon steels

A great knife lasts multiple lifetimes when cared for properly. We love to hear one of our knives has been passed down, and its our goal to keep them in great shape through the generations.
